Role Descriptions & Duties
Lead Organizer
Overall responsibility for event planning and execution.
Communicate with authorities for permits and safety.
Oversee all volunteers and assign roles.
Ensure non-negotiable rules and safety guidelines are followed.
Co-Leader / Assistant Organizer
Assist lead organizer with planning and coordination.
Serve as backup for decision-making on-site.
Help communicate updates and instructions to volunteers.
Safety Marshal
Maintain safety of participants during protest or caravan.
Enforce non-negotiable rules and keep crowds calm.
Monitor for conflicts or unsafe behavior and report to lead organizer.
Assist with emergency procedures if needed.
Traffic & Vehicle Marshal (Caravans)
Coordinate vehicle movement, spacing, and order in convoys.
Communicate with drivers regarding routes, stops, and hazards.
Ensure vehicles obey traffic laws and maintain safety.
Sign & Banner Coordinator
Organize distribution of signs and banners.
Ensure messaging aligns with the official manifesto and goals.
Assist participants with creating or carrying banners safely.
Media / Social Media Coordinator
Document events with photos, videos, and livestreams.
Post updates to social media or event websites.
Ensure privacy and consent considerations are followed.
First Aid / Medical Support
Assist participants with minor injuries or medical needs.
Know the location of first aid kits and nearest hospitals.
Communicate emergencies to lead organizer or authorities.
Logistics / Supplies Coordinator
Track and distribute supplies: water, sunscreen, handouts, signs, etc.
Ensure materials are available at key locations.
Assist marshals with setup or cleanup.
